We are more afraid that we won't be able to give our children anything more

Refugee intake in the US was halted in 2025. Thousands remain in South Florida. Without someone beside them, refugees face incredible challenges alone, without even the most basic support needed to settle and become contributing community members.
How we respond

We turn loneliness and isolation into connection and confidence. Loneliness and isolation triggers past trauma, preventing integration and growth.

The refugee journey disrupts education and professional growth. We help refugees access education, vocational training, and qualifications that allow them to rebuild their careers, gain promotions, and thrive in their chosen fields. RAA partners with local businesses to provide workplace training that equips refugees with the skills and qualifications needed for career advancement.

Refugees can’t learn English, gain qualifications or advocate for themselves or their children when they are just focusing on keeping the roof over their heads or putting one next meal on the table.
“Most people never think about the freedom of simply driving to the store...”
